League Hosted Classes
Are you a league that wants to increase the number and/or quality of referees you have? The SRC is here to support you in growing your number of referees so consider hosting a class. To host, please review the list of what the league will provide and what the SRC will provide.
The league or organization sponsoring a class will provide...
A room capable of comfortably holding the number of people planned for the class. This room should be free or paid for by the league. The SRC cannot use referee fees/budget to cover room rental. A class must be scheduled for 4 hours with access for the instructors 30 minutes before and after, so you should reserve a 5 hour block.
The room. must have a projector and a large clear space on which to project. Sound is required as we utilize videos with sound. The projector must have an HDMI input for video/sound. A large TV is acceptable instead of a projector, but the TV should be at least 70" to be effective for instruction, even in a small classroom.
If the facility requires an insurance statement or specific documents, the league hosting will need to provide it.
A minimum of 6 attendees is required to host a class. Classess with less than 6 attendees 3 days before the class will be cancelled.
There is no maximum number of attendees, but classes over 25 will require a third instructor.
Marketing to advertise the class on your league website, mass emails, etc.
An onsite league representative to greet referees as they enter, assist with attendance, assist with any facility or technical issues, and help clean up at the end.
The SRC will provide...
Two instructors assigned by the SDI/SDA/SRA. Leagues will not be able to select a specific instructor, but can share your hopes with us.
Instructor fees will be paid by the SRC budget
Laptop with instructional material
Law Books
Posting of your course on the SRC website
