All referees must recertify every year. Your registration is valid from January through December. We offer recertification sessions in December, January, February, and March. Every referee must attend an in-person session AND complete the online portion for US Soccer. Here are the details...
2023 In-Person Recertification Classes
You're invited to the 2023 Recertification Sessions taught by members of our State Referee Committee. These sessions will challenge you to grow and learn plus you'll get recertified. Registration to attend is not required. Just show up. Training is free.
If you do not have a 2023 badge yet, these are required. If you have received a 2023 badge as a part of your beginning training, these are optional.

What will you learn at in-person classes?
Recertification classes are broken up by experience because the skills needed for a referee in their first 3 years is very different from advanced referees. We select topics based upon mentor reports, observation of referees, and conversation with you. If you have ideas for future topics, let us know at reveland@idahoreferee.org.

Step 1: Log into your US Soccer Learning Center account
Go to the US Soccer Learning Center website US Soccer Learning Center
Update your mailing Address (Badges will be mailed to this addreess)
Those who are 18+ in age, you may need a US Soccer Background Check. You'll complete the US Soccer NCSI Background Check which is valid for 2 years and costs an additional $30.00 payable.
Those who are 18+ in age, you will need to complete SafeSport Training as this is a federal requirement about child abuse, harassment, hazing, and inappropriate sexual behaviors. It is about 2 to 2/12 hours in length and is valid for 2 years.
Step 2: Sign-up for the Course in which you wish to recertify.
Register for an Online referee Course based on your current certification.

Once you locate your class...
Once you successfully register for your course go to "Classroom"
Review items under "Resources" which will have information available to download for future reference.
Navigate to "Assignments" and complete all requirements for you selected course.
Step 3: Sign up and complete any additional Supplemental Courses
Step 4: Attend an In-Person Clinic
