Referee Coaching
My name Rob Walters and I serve as the state director of instruction and assessment which means I lead our team of referee coaches and mentors, coordinate referee classes, mentoring and assessment state-wide, and help referees grow and move up on their journey.Â
Mentors are experienced referees who take on three training roles. You should be prepared to learn all three are these areas equally well to function as a mentor:
On field observation of referees, post-game debrief, and written report
Field session leadership as part of an in-person class or tournament
Classroom instruction
The following is information for current and prospective referee mentors and referee coaches. Please read carefully and then contact me with any questions. You may register beginning January 12 for the 2025 year provided you meet the requirements listed below.
