All the steps below apply to new and returning Regional Emeritus or National Emeritus referees.

1. SOCCER EXPERIENCE: Licensed by US Soccer as a Regional or National Referee or Emeritus Referee in 2023, 2024, AND 2025. 

2. AGE: Minimum 45 years of age

3. COST: $85 annually plus a $22 background check every 2 years ($150 if you have lived internationally)

4. ONLINE CLASS: Once you receive permission, register and complete the Idaho Regional Emeritus Class or Idaho National Emeritus Class

5. LICENSE: After you have completed 100% of all the steps listed above, you will receive an email with your license. Your referee badge will be mailed to you within 2-3 weeks. Your license is valid for a calendar year (January-December), then you must relicense each year. We begin re-licensing in July each year.
