First Time & Returning Referee Classes ARE OPEN NOW!
Prior experience: you must have been a licensed referee in 2026, 2025, or 2024. If you have been out more than 3 years, you start as a First-Time Referee.
Technical: You must have your own email (not shared with a parent) and access the online classes from a computer (not a phone or tablet)
Cost: $75 (plus $23 every 2 years for a background check if you are at least 18 years old. This fee is $150 if you have lived internationally.)
Time Frame: All returning referees must complete the class between JULY and SEPTEMBER, before your first match of the fall, to ensure you know the law changes. DO NOT wait until winter or spring to complete your returning referee class.
Assignments & Registration: All work for this recertification is online. Register here and plan 4-5 hours of online work.
Exciting Optional Learning Session: AC Boise and the Idaho SRC are hosting a returning referee optional learning session on July 18 from 9:00am-2:30pm. It is held in the AC Boise Clubhouse and on the AC Boise field. Taught by a national referee assigned to the AC Boise match, this will be a powerful opportunity to learn and grow. Come dressed to run and bring flags, whistles, and cards. Also bring a sack lunch. Registration is required for this optional training session. Registration will open July 8. While it is not required, it is recommended that you complete your 2027 recertification BEFORE you attend this optional in-person session. That way, you know all the new laws that started July 1.
