Returning Referee Process

If you are a referee looking to relicense for next year, you've come to the right place. Referee licenses expire on December 31 each year, at which point you need to complete the relicensing course. Read this page first, then if you have further questions, contact the district referee administrator in your area. Read the process closely here and get started! We are excited to see continue the referee journey into next year. If you are a prospective regional referee, a returning regional referee, a regional emeritus, or a national emeritus, your process takes place with our SDA, Rob Walters and is found on the regional page instead.

Referee (former Grassroots) Relicensing Process & Local Classes Available

After you have paid your fee, completed all the online training, and completed your in person training, you will receive an email with your license. If you miss any step above, your license will be delayed until you complete that step. Your license is valid for a calendar year (January-December), then you must relicense each year.
